Peanut Butter Play dough

The picture below is suppose to be a train according to Koen.

Today Koen and I got bored so we made peanut butter play dough and he had so much fun with it. He was making trains of course, except he was using a truck cookie cutter that he thought looked like a train, but why should I ruin his fun so I just let him think it was a train. He didn't believe me that he could eat it (even when I showed him) for the longest time. Then he finally tried it and he said "Mom, I wove (love) this, it's good, mmmm!" What a cutie. He is super excited to show his tato (play dough) to Daddy when he gets home. I really hope he gets home before bed time, but not counting on it. He had to pick up some extra time today because someone couldn't work. Oh well, if he doesn't get home Koen can show him tomorrow.

Our BIG little man

Kai is getting so big! It's pretty bad when people at the store ask me how old he is and I tell them 4 months and they are like "wow! He's big!" He truly is big! When I took him to the doctor about a week ago he weighed 15 pounds 11 ounces. He was in the 75th percentile for his weight! He is so cute for being so fat!!! We love him so much. Today I was just rocking him and he was looking at the ceiling and he kept laughing his head off and I couldn't figure it out. I have no idea what he thought was so funny, but apparently something was. Maybe he sees things I don't who knows.

Fun With Friends

Yesterday my friend Hadley and her kids, Maddison and Logan, came to visit. Koen loves it when they come because he has someone his own size to play with. He and Maddie had so much fun in the pool! They played even when they were freezing and shivering with blue lips. We'd ask if they wanted to get out and they were like "no! I'm not cold!" We eventually had to make them get out. By the time the day was done they were both so exhausted that not even 5 minutes after Maddie had left Koen was asleep on the couch and Hadley said Maddie was asleep in the backseat. These to are so cute! We love having friends!

My Little Helper

We recently made Koen a chore chart. He is suppose to make his bed, dress himself, brush his teeth, and clean up his toys. Sometimes he goes a bit farther, which is awesome. Yesterday I was cleaning the house and he tried helping me vacuum the living room and then I asked if he wanted to help me with the dusting and he was like "YEAH!!" and so I told him to dust the chairs and when that was done he was like what else mom. I told him he could clean anything he wanted to so he went and dusted Kai's crib and then came to clean the TV. What a cutie!!! I gave him stickers even though those things aren't on his chart. Too bad this stage probably won't continue through the years, but heck I can take advantage of it now.

Fun With Cousins and Mother's Day

This last weekend Tyrell's Mom came to visit and brought Koen's cousins to play. The kids had so much fun. They played in Koen's new pool and dug in the dirt. We had a BBQ with Grandma Teeter, Stacey, Jacob, and the twins. The kids ate hot dogs while they shivered. I think Koen had blue lips a few times in the day they were here. They didn't want to get out of the water.

After the BBQ Koen, Kai and I headed up to Grandma Nyder's (as Koen would say it) and waited for Daren to call. It seemed like forever!!! In the meantime Heather and her new husband David fixed us a delicous dinner and we sat around looking at old pictures and remembering childhood moment. It was so nice to finally talk to Daren. He has only been gone 6 months, but it seems like forever since I have actually talked with him. Of course he wanted to know about the boys and had to tease me a little. Thats Daren for you! I am glad I went though. I didn't get to talk to him last time he called since I was due any day and didn't want to leave town.

My Sister Is A Married Woman

Heather got married yesterday! It was really neat for me to be able to go to the temple and see her get married. Tyrell was not able to come with me though because Koen decided to be throwing up all morning so we canceled the babysitter and Tyrell stayed with the boys while I went. I was the only sibling of either the bride or groom. That was strange, but I felt kinda special. Anyway they were lucky enough to have his great grandpa seal them and that was really neat. I am so proud of her and I wish them the best! Now its time to give my kids COUSINS right? Unfornately she doesn't agree with me, but I never quit hoping she will come around.

Planting Our Garden

We planted our garden this last week. Well I should say that Tyrell did with the help of Koen driving his train through the dirt and me watching because Kai didn't like the grass much. Koen did try to dig with the shovel for a while, but soon decided wreaking all the heals and creating new ones with Spencer (his train) was lots more fun!
