Getting Excited!!

Can you believe it? I sure can't, but I am getting so excited!!!!!!! 1 week from today Daren  will be home from his mission. I can't wait for him to meet Kai and Havyn. He has served an honorable mission, and has set such a great example to my boys! I keep practicing saying Daren with Kai, even though he still won't know who he is right off the bat, but at least he can say his name. Koen says he remembers uncle Daren, but I guess we will see next Wed. around noon when he shows up. The funny thing about all this is that he will find me just as he left me, pregnant again, and about the same number of months as when he left. This time things will be a little different though, because if I remember right I was a little larger when he left, due to the fact that I had a normal pregnancy going for me then. I guess I better explain, since I have yet to post about this pregnancy on the blog. This baby is being much like Havyn, and he apparently doesn't like much fluid around him either. They did find the low fluid quite a bit earlier this time, so that does give me hope for a better outcome. That and the Drs are watching me very closely, and have put me on bed rest, in hopes that fluid levels will rise, and the baby will be able to stay in longer than Havyn did. She was born at 36 weeks with no steroids to aid the maturation of her lungs. The plan with this little guy is to give me steroids at 33 weeks to help his lungs along, then deliver him at 37 weeks. Koen was born at 37 weeks, and was perfectly fine, so if all goes well, and we can keep things safe for him until then he shouldn't need to be in the hospital like Havyn.

Pumpkins 2010

So tonight the boys had an awesome experience carving pumpkins! This is the first year Koen hasn't had aversions to touching pumpkin "guts". Kai just kept licking and biting pieces of pumpkin and saying yummy. Strange, but totally and Kai Kai thing to do! Koen picked out everyone's pumpkin at the store, including one for mommy and Havyn to share (although we didn't get all the pumpkins carved tonight). Koen and Kai got theirs done, but the others will have to wait. I wasn't feeling the best so I just watched, and then it got to be dark so Tyrell decided to wait on his as well. Koen picked his pumpkin because the steam was really long, which apparently he thought was cool. He then was determined to have a happy face, so much so that he kept telling Tyrell over and over to make sure he gave it a happy face. Next he wanted Kai's to have a mad face, and since Kai doesn't know the difference I decided to say well why don't we make it scary. I just think scary is better than mad for Halloween. Both boys are happy with what they have as a finished product, and so am I because Tyrell carves pumpkins way better than I do.
