Halloween

Koen got lots of candy today trick or treating in old town. All the businesses in old town give out candy from 3 to 6 on Halloween so that is where I take Koen because I don't trust other Pocatello neighborhoods. This morning he got to go to some businesses around his daycare as well since they took them around. He didn't really want to wear his costume, though. He tried to pull it off and wouldn't wear his hat. Oh well he got over it, not the hat though. He got so tired he fell asleep in his candy bag in the car. It was a fun day!

27 Weeks 5 Days

I am getting bigger by the day I think! My ribs hurt every night so I must be growing every day. He is getting big enough that you can see him moving on the outside and sometimes he kicks hard enough that I jump. This one may possibly be bigger than Koen, we will have to wait and see, but he certainly feels big!

Good Luck Daren

Daren went into the MTC today! I just wanted to say Good Luck! I know he won't read this, but I thought it would be nice to write about it. He is going to be a great missionary I am convinced! He gave a wonderful talk in church and has been looking forward to serving the Lord for some time now. He will do great! I love you, Daren! Your an awesome example as my little brother!

Halloween Cupcakes

Today was Daren's "talk in church". He did a really good job and now he will leave in just a few days for the MTC to learn Spanish and prepare for the actual mission. I managed to somehow not cry until I got in the car to come home. It is sad, but I realize that he is doing a really good thing and before I know it he will be home. He is going to be a really good missionary. Tyrell and I made Halloween cupcakes for the lunch after his talk and they turned out so cute! At least we think so so if you don't save it and don't ruin our excitment! It was really fun to do this with Tyrell. Most husbands would never want to decorate cupcakes until 11 at night, but mine does! He is really good at it too.

Koen's Pumpkin

I decided to let Koen paint a pumpkin this year and he loved it. He didn't want to put any color but green on it though. He didn't want to stop when I told him it was time either. I let him paint on paper when I thought his pumpkin had enough layers of paint on it! He is such a silly kid and he loves to paint!

Feeling the Pregnancy

So last night while I was lying in bed I decided that it has snuck up on me that I am getting big and uncomfortable. I guess I don't remember it happening so fast last time, but we are definitely there! Tyrell told me hey your are like three quarters done you know! It's crazy! I can't roll over without pushing myself over with my arm nor can I sit up using stomach muscles anymore. My ribs are sore as all get out and I am getting huge! I remember this from Koen, but I think you forget what it actually feels like until you're there again. It is nice to know he is getting big though. The doctor says I am measuring right on for where I am so that is really good news. We are at almost 26 weeks, which means only 13 more to go because the doctor said he is going to do the c-section at 39 weeks. Those 13 weeks are going to fly by I have a feeling, but I can't wait to meet our new little addition. I secretly hope this one is a mommy's boy since Koen is totally a daddy's boy!

Pumpkin 2008

Last night we carved our pumpkins for the year! Koen actually wanted to help scoop out the pumpkins guts this year! He also kept trying to carve with me, but he kept grabbing the blade of the knife so I just had him watch. He just couldn't understand that he was going to get big owies if he grabbed there and continued to do it. He claims the pumpkin I carved is his pumpkin, it looks like he did it though so I guess it's okay. This morning when I was walking out with him to take him to his "class" (daycare) he said "look it's my punkin!" He is getting so big! I can't believe we have reached the point were he wants big kid toys and understands birthday's and small concepts about holidays! Tyrell and I were talking about how not much longer and we won't be able to discuss his Santa Claus gifts in front of him. Oh well, that is what they do, GROW UP! I just hope we do a good job teaching him right and wrong and responsibilty! He is going to be a GREAT big brother in a couple months!
