Havyn Is Coming Early

Today I went to my appointment, and was told that the fluid level is now under a 5, which is very dangerous, so they have decided to get Havyn here. She will be born tomorrow, Jan. 27th. Last week she weighed about 5 pounds 14 ounces. I am expecting her to weigh a little over 6 pounds, hopefully. This is a good thing since she will be born at 36 weeks 2 days. I am nervous about her lungs being ready at this point, but it's better for her to get here, and get healthy than stay in there. She has run out of room, making her have decreased movement. She's probably going to be so glad to stretch out when she gets here. I just pray that she is ok, and things go well. It seems like every c-section I have I get more nervous. It should be the opposite you would think. I am just so glad to have Tyrell there next to me. He reassured me that everything would be fine last time.

My New Hobby

Tyrell saw that I ordered some flower clips for Havyn and was like "hey you could make those". And now he has a flower clip making monster! Here are some I have done.

Kai's 1st Birthday

Our big man, Kai Ethan, turned 1 today! He really is a big man too! He is currently wearing 24 month clothing, walking, saying uh-oh, shaking his head no when someone tells him no-no, and attempting to say no-no as well as bye-bye. When I got out the Gerber Graduate Little Entree tonight for dinner instead of baby food his face lit up like you wouldn't believe. He had a great birthday with some family to help celebrate, and of course give him lots of good presents! His favorite seeming to be the cups my Grandma and Grandpa got for him, simple, but the best in his eyes! He is such a little joy to our family. He keeps us on our toes, and is the happiest little guy around, even when he's sick! We sure do love him, and I can't believe it has been a year! They grow so fast! He will be an awesome big brother to Havyn even if he doesn't seem to understand or really like her at first.

Another Havyn Update

I went to the Dr. this morning and had another ultrasound. No pictures, though. At this point nothing has changed and I have still gained no weight. The Dr. says I'm still measuring small as well, and he is going to continue to check me every week with ultrasounds. Next week they will check her growth and see if she is small as well. If she is small and the fluid is still low, he said he may have to deliver her earlier. He said that if she is small and low fluid that usually means there is something wrong, such as she isn't getting what she needs anymore, and it would be best for her to be born. We'll keep our fingers crossed that she is normal size. I will at least make it to 35 weeks, which is better than 34 or lower so that is good! We have things ready just in case. And something interesting from the ultrasound today, was that the tech pointed out that she could see hair on her head, so she will be born with hair.

Havyn Update

I better get this ultrasound picture up so that my mom and Grandma can see it. So I'll give everyone an update on why I even have a new ultrasound picture. A couple weeks ago I headed to the doctor to discover that I had lost 3 pounds, making my total weight can this pregnancy 3 pounds, and I was measuring small. The doctor was concerned and sent me to ultrasound. During the ultrasound they checked for growth and found that Havyn is measuring normal size, but that I have pretty low levels of amniotic fluid, making me measure small. The doctor decided to see me again in a week and repeat the ultrasound. We did that and nothing, not even my weight changed. He said that as long as my fluid levels stay above 5cm, which mine are 6 cm, I should be ok. If they don't I'm not sure what will happen, but from what I've read it's not good, and they may have to take the baby early. As for now, I go in on Tuesday for yet another ultrasound to see where I am. I'm not too concerned that things will change for the worse, and the baby will mostly be born on the scheduled day, Feb. 11, I will go in for my c-section.

2009 In Review

2009 brought a lot to the Teeter house! What a year! We started the year awaiting the birth of our Kai Kai Ethan. He joined the family on Jan. 20, 2009 at about 4:30 am. Bright and early, just how he wakes up these days! So we'll just start with Kai's year, since I'm already talking about him. He was born with a very different look than his brother, but the more we look at him and he grows, the more he and Koen look similar. Kai loves his food and eats so much that he weighs 25 pounds, putting him in the 95th percentile. He also just started walking, and his first word is uh-oh. He is full of personality, and loves to laugh. Koen loves being a big brother, but not the sharing part. He loves to make Kai laugh, but also loves to take his toys away. Anytime Kai has anything, whether it's his or Kai's he thinks he needs to have it. Luckily Kai is laid back and really doesn't mind when Koen trades him. Koen turned 4 this year, and man is he 4! He is crazy as ever! Recently he likes to cut, color, do puzzles, and play with play dough. He is always up to something, and if you don't hear him for a few minutes you better find out why! He has grown up so much this year, and amazes me everyday with new words or things his does. As for Tyrell and I we have had quite the year as well. I was supposed to take my last semester of classes this spring, and plans well they can change in the blink of an eye. This last June we got the surprise of our lives! We found out there was another little one coming to join our family, and we had a 4 month old. I thought the tests were lying and that there was no way this could possibly be happening! Tyrell was super excited, of course, as he has always wanted a huge family. So instead of taking my last semester of classes I will be having a baby in Feb. 2010, Havyn Marie Teeter. I am assured that she must need to come at this time or she wouldn't be, so give me strength! We both have 2 semesters of classes left, and student teaching. It's getting so close, and I have to say I'm kind of scared. It's nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel, though. Tyrell is still working at Pizza Hut, and I'm staying home trying to be a good mom. Some days I wonder if I succeed, but my kids still love me, so I guess I'm doing an ok job. I also have to pat myself on the back a bit because I have managed being a mom, and still getting mostly A's in my classes. I'm really proud of myself. In fact the semester I had Kai I still made the Dean's list. With every kid I have I seem to get better grades. I don't understand it! Tyrell also did an AWESOME job this last semester and got all A's and 1 B! I was really proud of him for that too! We look forward to the new year and all it brings!
