Baby Update

So since I last posted on here lots has happened as far as the baby goes. I was just sitting here one day a couple weeks ago and noticed that I had had quite a few contractions in a short amount of time, so I decided that maybe I ought to start timing them. I did and they were 5 min. apart so when Tyrell got home from student teaching I told him, and he was as surprised as I was since at the time I was only 33 weeks pregnant, and the timing was really bad. It was his first day student teaching and the next day he was supposed to go to an all day seminar. We decided it'd be best to go to the hospital and see what could be done. They watched me for about 20 min and decided that they needed to run some tests to see if I was contracting due to an infection or what. The tests all came back that I was fine, other than I was a little dehydrated (which was odd since I had been drinking a ton). They hooked me to an IV in hopes that once I got some fluids in me I would stop having contractions. NOPE! So the next thing they did was give me a shot of this asthma drug that stops labor, but makes your heart race and you get really shaky, and basically it's not fun at all. They can give these shots up to 5 times every 20 min if needed. Unfortunately I took 3 shots and then I was still contracting here and there so they decided to try giving me a combo of drugs that would knock me out and hopefully fix the problem. Well, the combo of drugs worked, but they made me sick so as I was almost asleep I threw up all over myself. AWFUL! I finally went home and then a couple days later I went in to get an ultrasound and had some results that didn't look so great so I went back to labor and delivery to see if they could figure out why my amniotic fluid had gone done so much in just 1 week, and what to do you while I am there I start having contractions again. This meant another IV and more shots. Since then I haven't been back in for contractions, but I have been pretty sick, with no real answers as to what is going on because everything comes back normal. The last ultrasound I got showed that the baby hadn't grown for a week so they are checking again this week and if he doesn't grow again they will probably decide to do my c section. My Dr. has decided that with all the crazy stuff I keep having she is going to do an amniocentesis on the 4th to check his lungs (which should be good since I had steroids)  and then deliver that day if they are mature. I will be 37 weeks at that point. I am just hoping to make it to then, but I really don't want to go past then because of the fun times I have had lately. My Dr. says I don't have to be on bed rest at this point anymore, and that if I go in in labor she's just going to deliver instead of stop it. I am quite nervous because I don't know what to expect as far as if he will be healthy and able to come right home, but we are still hoping for the best. I am going in with an understanding that he may have to stay, and I have done this before with Havyn, and we can make through again if we have to. I just hope for the best, and really want to be done being pregnant. So let it be known he should be here by the 4th! It will be super exciting to see what he looks like, and at least Koen understands what is going on so I am sure he'll be excited, and hopefully he'll be able to see him the day he is born!

New Things Happening At Our House

 Havyn's Room
 Boy's Room
Boy's Room again and a naked Kai. This room is going to change drastically soon, when the boys get their new to them bunk beds! My dad is working on painting some bunk beds yellow for the boys (that's the color Koen picked, we'll see how it looks). We need the crib for baby Kael so bunk beds it is. I will take new pictures of their room once the beds get done and set up. For now the room is a little crowded, but you know they have sooooo many toys and crap, which I also went through tonight, after this picture, so things are looking a little less crowded.
Our bedroom, and yes Kai was following me around with that popper you see in the corner.
 Another angle of our room.
 The hallway.
 Bathroom
 Bathroom again.
 Living Room
 Dining Room
Kitchen. The big counter top space here is my favorite!

So as you can see we moved! We are starting a new chapter of our lives, I guess you could say. Tyrell starts his student teaching on the 10th, and yes he's nervous, but I know he'll do just great! He also has a new job at the Texas Roadhouse, which is super exciting because he got the job super quickly for one thing, and we get a discount, which is always good! He has started training there, and says it's going to be super busy, but he's loving it so far. We will also be welcoming the new little man to the family here in about 4 to 6 weeks, and he will be sharing a room with Havyn (or at least that is the plan for now). We love our new apartment so far, as it is really nice, cheaper than the last, and only 1 floor instead of 3. As for other news, Havyn and Kai both got tubes put in their ears 2 days before Christmas, and have had a little bit of a hard time adjusting, but are doing well. Kai also had is adenoids removed as another measure to try to get rid of the ear infections since this is his second set of tubes.

Someone Got Glasses

Koen got glasses, and he is so excited! I bet it won't last once he realizes they are a part of his life for good now, and he actually has to wear them, even when he doesn't want to. He looks pretty cute though!

Christmas Time

We weren't going to put up a tree this year since we are moving a couple days before Christmas, so Tyrell can student teach! Koen sadly asked us when we were going to decorate for Christmas, so we decided we could handle a little tree, so off to Family Dollar we went to get a $10 miniature tree. The boys are so happy with it, and it's really small so no big deal to take down when we move.

Call Me Strange......

I know this may sound weird, but with every one of our kids I have tried to figure out what he/she will look like based on ultrasound pictures. I know that's weird because there really is no way to know for sure. I could tell the Koen and Kai would be different, but I really didn't expect them to look as different as they do. I really had no idea with Havyn because she was a girl, and that was a first. This time we are having a 3rd boy so of course I am just dying to know if he will look like Koen or Kai or neither, since they look so different. I keep looking at the many ultrasounds I keep having to get and trying to decide. Koen and Havyn look a lot alike to me so I keep trying to see if I can find their features, and up until now I thought he may look more like them, but all I had seen very well was the profile. From that I think he may have more of a long face shape like Havyn, but I really have no idea. Then today I got to see his face really good and up close, and I have come to the conclusion that he just may look more like mister Kai. This could change next week or the week after, but for today I say he looks like Kai. No one will know for sure until he's born, but it's always fun to guess.

Comparison

This one is now at 25 weeks 2 days
This is Havyn at 24 weeks

So I was looking at my past pregnancy pictures comparing them at the point I am now with this baby. With Kai I was bigger at 23 weeks than I am now with this baby. Koen I didn't take pictures so I really have no idea :(! With Havyn I was about the same size at 24 weeks that I am now at 25 weeks with this baby. This baby looks just a tad bigger, but not by much. It will be interesting to see how big I actually get this time, which will probably depend on fluid levels. Which on a bright note have gone up! I was at an almost normal level last week when they did the ultrasound. Let's hope that things continue looking up! And on a side note if anyone is interested this baby has a name now, well at least we call him by this name so it's starting to stick. His name is Kael.

Cute Kids

This is the kids in their Halloween costumes. They all look so adorable! Thanks to Mom and Jalissa for helping me take these pictures!
