Cake Night

Last night we decided it would be fun to have a family night, and bake a cake. The boys had a blast adding ingredients and stirring the batter. I was going to just go get a simple little cake mix, and Tyrell was like that's not fun so I let him have it, and really the kids had way more fun I am sure! Kai was laughing, and well not liking the parts where Koen got a turn, but oh well he's 1 what can I expect? Even Havyn helped by playing with the cocoa.  I am fairly certain from the dry ingredients sticking to a bowl where we had only added dry ingredients, that some little boy added an ingredient of his own. Oh well Koen kept dipping his spatula in it, and licking it so I guess Kai had to put his mark on it too! Oh the joys! Don't worry we didn't take it to the neighbors or anything!

School

School started this week, and I won't lie I am scared. I got placed in a 2nd grade classroom to do my 6 lessons, and spend 150 hrs in this semester.  My professor is going to watch me teach, so that scares me, and the fact that I almost there and what if I find I hate it!? Then what? I am sure I am worried for nothing. Besides all the scary stuff I am super excited to work with 2nd graders. They think you're awesome no matter what you do, right? I could mess up so bad, and unlike older kids, they care less. The kids have also gone back to daycare, and really seem to be loving it. Koen asked me today why he can't go to his class tomorrow, which makes me really happy because I would hate for them to not enjoy spending their days there. Kai is having the hardest time out of all 3 of them. He did great the first 3 days and the last 2 he cries when I leave, but I wonder if he just gets overwhelmed because the teacher says he does better when she takes him to do something away from all the noise and congestion. They have a huge yard to play in, and are usually out there when I get there in the afternoons. Today I showed up to find Kai's teacher smiling and saying I should go see where Kai had ended up. I head over to find Kai dead asleep under a tree. She said he didn't nap, and when they went outside he just curled up under the tree and went to sleep. It was so cute! Havyn was chattering away, and they say she eats and sleeps great for them. I have never found her crying or left her crying, although she probably loves it because she seems to be spoiled seeings as she is the only baby girl in the entire daycare. I really hope things continue to go well for the kids. I think by semesters end I am going to be exhausted, but hey this is my LAST semester of classes!!!! Tyrell's too for that matter! So far he has quite long days at school, but doesn't have class on Friday, so he's going to be doing lots of honey do chores I think on Fridays. We survived the first week at least.

Havyn Is 6 Months!

Time has flown by, it feels like yesterday we were finally bringing Havyn home from the NICU. She is 6 months old now, and growing well. She started out below the 10th percentile and has moved her way up to the 67th! She now weighs 16 lbs 12 ounces. She has yet to roll over or sit up, but talks non-stop. We love her so much!

Well here's are BIG announcement. Baby #4 will arrive somewhere around Feb. 24, 2011. Yes we are all surprised so you should be a little shocked. I guess all the trouble getting pregnant with Kai is now way over, because we just can't stop!

Fishing With Grandpa

So Koen has been begging my dad to take him fishing for like a month, and finally we got around to planning a day, which was last Saturday. There was a little kiddy fishing pond my dad found a few miles from their house, where they plant fish, so basically Koen was guaranteed to catch at least one. Well we got there and Koen wasn't all that patient as my dad starting getting out the bait and getting the hook ready and what not. He was like "can we fish yet?" He was a little freaked out when the worms were brought out, and wanted to know what we were planning to do with them, as he looked at them with quite the face. Well once Koen did get to fish it wasn't long and he caught one. I am not too sure what he thought was going to happen when the fish came out of the water, but he freaked out. He was watching it try to swim away as he reeled it in, and getting so excited, but then it came out of the water flapping all over and he screamed so loud, and ran straight for the car. Tyrell had to chase him down, and tell him it was ok. He was not about to get a picture with the fish even after it quit flapping around, nor would he touch his pole again. When we got back, my mom asked him what he thought of fishing, if he liked it or not so much. He said not so much, he hasn't said one word about Grandpa taking him fishing since we got back either. He cracks me up. I was laughing so hard. I know that sounds mean, but it was pretty funny!
