Merry Christmas

Unfortunately our oven element decided to quit on us this week, and it happens to be on back-order. This meant I had to get a little creative about what we could leave out for Santa tonight. My mom suggested we make rice crispies and use cookie cutters to cut them out. The kids had tons of fun, and they turned out cute, and they were super quick and easy! The kids are really excited this year, and I am too! I can't wait to see their faces, mostly because I made everyone in the Teeter household a gift this year. It was lots of fun, and I bet they will all be super excited when they see what they are getting!

Already Finding Trouble

This little guy is determined for sure! What is so funny about this picture is that I had just had Tyrell put child locks on the bottom drawer so I didn't have dishrags and towels all over my kitchen anymore, but Kael outsmarted me, and now he just stands up and opens the 2nd drawer and starts chucking baggies, tinfoil, and anything else he can find in there on the floor.  This little stinker is going to be walking before I know it.  Good thing he is so cute!

Thanksgiving

Now this year I did a horrible job on taking pictures. Oh well! I didn't take one single photo all day. We spent Thanksgiving with my family this year, and everyone was able to come, which was nice. That doesn't happen too often in our family. We enjoyed our time together, then went shopping for Christmas items at 6 p.m. that night. Tyrell and I and my niece went to stand in line at Toys R Us that early, but it paid off because we were one of the first 100 in the door, and everything we had gone to get we were able to get. This saved us quite a bit of money for the holiday, and when you have 4 kids that's something to be proud of! The turkeys above are what the boys made together, by themselves, a few days before Thanksgiving. Kai's is the one that has a wing on its belly and feathers all over. He was so proud!

Halloween

I know Halloween was a long time ago, but hey I have been super duper busy so here is the post. This year was a little different with dad not being around and not really having a house. Well techniquely we had a house, but not where we were, as Tyrell was living there and we had to stay in Shelley to finish up my student teaching. My parents were awful kind and let us stay with them though. It was pretty cold Halloween night, and I had some last minute cleaning to do at the apartment we had just moved out of before the 1st of November so the kids, me, and grandma (my mom) went around her block trick or treating, and then back to the house. The kids had no idea that in the scheme of things they really didn't get all that much candy. They thought they were loaded and I was not going to tell them any different!

It has been WAY too long!

Well Tyrell found a teaching job back in September! I just haven't found the time with student teaching, kids, and Tyrell being far away to post about it. He was offered the job on his birthday. What a nice birthday present! He is teaching 8th grade science, and so far he is liking it! He is at an awesome school. The hard part is that he is four and a half hours away from us. He was able to find us a house that had everything we were looking for at a price we could afford, and we moved this last weekend! I love the house, he couldn't have done better! I am so pleased that he did this all on his own. I think he was a little concerned that I wouldn't like it, but I love it! I am staying with my parents for the next month while I finish up my student teaching then we can all be together again. We are super excited to start this new chapter of our lives together!

Funny Kai

Kai is on a mommy kick lately, so this mornings conversation with him went like this:

Me: Kai what's with this mommy stage lately? Can you find your Daddy stage?
Kai (looking at Tyrell): I can't find it. You find it.

Just now Tyrell gave Kael a cheese ball to munch on, and of course Kael made a huge mess so Tyrell told him "Kael you are a sick puppy," and Kai goes "we don't have a puppy."

He cracks me up!
