So Tyrell was finally cleaning out the mess of a garage we had on Labor Day, and he brought in the dryer box for the kids to play with. He cut a door and window holes. The kids had a blast. Here are the pictures to prove it.

A Box and Some Kids

The Other Day
I have to blog about my day the other day because more often than not my days go just like this one did, and I know someday I will look back and wonder where all my time went. I do not want to forget what it was like when my kids were little, and hopfulley when I read this in years to come I will be glad I wrote it down to remember, but glad it's over too! So since I hurt my back (doing who knows what) I have been doing some excercises I was given by a very generous and kind physical therapist who happens to be our home teacher. This particular morning I was feeling pretty sore from not doing my excercises the way I should have the day before (gee, I wonder why...couldn't be lots to do with the kids and house or anything). I decided that even though I had dishes that needed done, and a house to clean that I would lie on the floor and do some excercises. Just as I get the first set done, Kael comes hauling into the room towards me, and I am the recipent of a butt in the face. Somehow he and Havyn had gotten their diapers off and they were both running around butt naked. So I get up and chase them down and get their dipaers back on just in time for Koen to start bugging me for breakfast, and Kai wanting something else on the TV. After I get all that taken care of Tyrell is out of the shower and I hurry and hop in because it's also grocery day. After grocery shopping and somehow getting the house clean Tyrell has to head off to his second job, and Koen is bored (this is his new things, he is always bored). I give him a list of about 10 things he could do, but none of them are good enough so finally I decide to try something I saw on Pinterest. BAD IDEA!!!! The little kids mad such a huge mess with the cloud dough (flour and baby oil) and Kael starting eating. Remember how I said I had just gotten the house clean, well now it's not clean anymore.
I had two older happy boys, who unfortunately were making a giant mess as well, and two happy to stir up trouble toddlers who were just spreading flour all over the house and their bodies. I honestly didn't know how I was going to get this mess cleaned up and dinner fixed. After the choatic clean up that left me with 4 crying kids, I managed to get dinner ready. No one ate their dinner, and then it was bath time. I didn't even get dinner cleaned up before I heard the water running upstairs (this is Kael's new thing). Kael had gone up, got in the tub, and turned on the water. This happens several times a day now because he always wants a bath and somehow he knows how to get in the bathroom. By the time bathes were done I just wanted to sit and breath for a minute, but Kael being Kael had other plans for me. He decided that it was time to stir up more trouble, and make another mess since I had just gotten the first one cleaned up. And I swear that if it's the day you vacum or mop they instinctivley know that they should ruin it. So I am sitting looking a facebook for a quick breather and moment to myself when I hear Havyn say, "kael doing". This is never a good thing so I go look and he has gotten out the full canister of oats out of the lazy Suzan and dumped the entire thing in the carpet and is spreading it out.

Super Cute Bunch
We no longer have enough chairs for the entire family to fit around the table at dinner. Tyrell and I got sick of sitting on the floor so we found this cute little picnic table on clearance. It's a little small, and so Tyrell just kept laughing at the 4 of them smooshed together at lunch today. They think it is the best thing ever though, so it's all good!

Great Grandma's Blanket
Havyn found this blanket great grandma crocheted for her before she was born tucked away in her closet. I have put these special blankets away to keep them nice, and I know my grandma would tell me that that is not why she crocheted them, but I just want them to have something kept nice for later years. Havyn has not put this blanket away since she found it and I think it so cute!

When Life Gets Hard...
Ok, so I don't post about this kind of stuff, but I am today. Usually it's all about what we are doing and family stuff, but I just feel like if I write this down maybe I will have a little reminder for when life gets hard. The last few days, months, years, whatever, I have struggled some days with thinking if only (fill in the blank) my life would be so much better or easier. You know though eventually I had a baby, I graduated from school, we made more money, the list goes on, but I still find myself looking for things that would make everything all better. Sometimes when I get this way I see something that really puts things into perspective. I really don't have it rough at all! Yeah my back hurts for like the last 2 weeks, and one of our cars is broken down, but my kids are all heathy, we have a nice place to live, we eat everyday, we still have a way to get around, etc. The thing I just saw that made me realize that the little things I have going on right now really are just little things, is a story about a 20 year old who just lost her life giving birth. I can't imagine how her family must feel! These are the things I need to remember when I feel like life has gotten so hard.

Havyn's Tonsils
Well I sure do, and that is precisely why knowing that Havyn had giant tonsils worried me. We put off getting them out, waiting for her to get older and stronger, but the surgery was needed sooner than I ever wanted it to be. The Dr. asked me if I was ready, and I said I wouldn't be ready if she was 15. Before surgery she was super happy, and had no idea what was coming.
She has been through so much in her short little life, but she is strong as ever! She continues to amaze me. I had all these ideas of how she would be after they got her tonsils out and she woke up, and she has been such a trooper! She struggled with the anesthesia and waking up. She was a MAD little girl, and confused beyond belief, but calmed down soon after they let us see her and she got mommy.
Later she was wanting to run around, and being her normal full of attitude self. She even ate french fries and a kit kat. I had bought her all kinds of soft cold foods for when she came home and so far she could care less. She hasn't even complained about her throat. She was supposed to stay a night in the hospital because of her age, but shocked her Dr. with how much she had drank behavior that he sent her home later that night. We were so ready because she had been crying all afternoon about wanting to go home, and the only thing we could do to make her stop was pull her around in a wagon. We sure made the rounds in the peds unit!
She got plenty of cuddle time being alone with mom and dad, and I think she enjoyed every bit of it!
