Kai Ethan Teeter

Well as you know Kai was supposed to join our family today, Jan. 22, 2009. Well Sunday I started to have some symptoms of labor and really bad cramping. Monday it continued so I went to the Labor and Delivery and they said they thought is was all nothing and then Kai's heartbeat started going through the roof so they watched me for an hour and decided that he was fine when it finally came down. They sent me home at about 3:30 P.M. So Tyrell went to work and I started cleaning the house and doing all the laundry. When Tyrell got home we had dinner and got Koen to bed and then went to bed ourselves. At about midnight I started having contractions and thought that it was going to be like all the other times and I would stop in about an hour. Well and hour went and passed and then they really started to hurt. I laid in bed and thought about waking Tyrell up and decided if I had 3 more I would. I had another one and I decided I wasn't waiting any more. By this time it was about 2:30 in the morning and I woke Tyrell up who ran and started the car and got Koen up. We took Koen to Labor and Delivery with us since we didn't know if this was it or not. As soon as they hooked me up I was having contractions every 3 minutes and pretty intense ones at that. They decided to call in the OR team and get me into the C-Section before Kai decided he was coming out with or without a C-Section. Things went really fast and Tyrell was barely able to get Koen to his sister's before the surgery. Kai Ethan was born at 4:32 am on Jan. 20, 2009. He weighed 7 pound 13 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. So far we aren't sure what his presonality is other than he hates to sleep at night and loves to sleep during the day (thats gonna have to change!). We love him and hopefully Koen will too. He has been with his Grandma Teeter since we had Kai and only met him for part of the morning his was born. He did say, "Mom I wove (love) that baby!"
