So a lot has happened since I last posted! We have crazy boys, and that's all there is to it! First, they decided that wearing Mr. Potato Head glasses around the house was quite funny, and that trying them on baby Kael was even funnier! Kai wore his for days. I think he thought he was cool because Koen has real glasses and he doesn't.
Next we had a family movie night, that ended earlier (more about that later), and we made bagel pizzas first. Havyn had more fun eating the ingredients before we cooked them, than actually putting a pizza together.Kai was also keen on eating things, but managed to finish creating a pizza for himself. Koen was interested in putting as many pepperonis on his pizza as he possibly could.
Before you knew it we were eating delicous pizza and watching Megamind. Well we decided we needed some popcorn so here comes the fun! Tyrell and I are quietly watching the movie and chowing down on popcorn when we hear Kai let out a scream. Koen was standing there terrified, and told us he had shoved a popcorn kernel in Kai's ear. This was a Friday night, as well, so Tyrell tried to get the popcorn out with no luck, so we were off to the ER. They tried to get the dumb thing out there with no success as well, so they told us to come back later that night to have the Ear, Nose, Throat Dr. take him to surgery and remove it. They weren't able to do it right away because he had eaten recently. Luckily later that night when I took him back the Ear guy was able to remove it easily, and Kai woke up from the drugs well, and was sent home. If that wasn't enough, Koen decided this last Sunday to shove a bead up his nose, which caused yet another trip to the Dr. Luckily this time I was able to take him to an urgent care, and the bead came out pretty easy! You would think he'd learn, but I guess not!
Mr. Kai is also on the verge of NEEDING to potty train! The kid sits on the toilet all the time, and asks to sit on it. Sometimes he even goes on it. I am just waiting until the end of April to start the adventure of potty training because I am still trying to finish up school this semester.
And Kael is much better now that he has a prescription formula and zantac to combat his issues. He must have some severe allergies or something. He is growing by the day though. At his 8 week check up last week he weighed in at 10 lbs 4 oz which is almost doubling his birth weight! He is also starting to smile quite a bit (I ought to get a picture of that soon!).
