Easter 2012

I know Easter was like 3 weeks ago, but hey it's been a crazy, but good life. The Easter bunny did visit our house, and I think everything he delivered was liked by one kid or another. He his some eggs, and the only one interested in finding them was Koen. His basket was overflowing, and we had to distribute them evenly once he found them all.

As for before Easter morning we did color eggs, with kool-aid! It worked amazingly well. I saw the idea on pinterest, and thought that it would make sense to do since the kids like to drink things they shouldn't. The one I was really worried about, Kael, played with an empty juice bottle the entire time we colored eggs, instead.

Kai Makes Us Laugh

Kai funnies

I want to write these down so I don't forget them. Kai was so funny yesterday.
Me: it's a nice day we should get some sun
Kai: yeah so I can be a sunbeam

Then later when we are getting in the car
Me: kai, you can take your toy, but it has to stay in the car at the store.
Kai: why?
Me: so they don't think you stole it.
Kai: why?
Me: because if they think you stole it they will lock your hands behind your back and you won't be able to move them
Kai: I will break that lock

What makes that even funnier is when we left the store he tried to still a helium balloon by grabbing hold of it and walking right on out. I guess my story and threats don't scare him one bit.

As I was trying to leave the parking lot I went the wrong way, as I am still getting used to this place.
Me: crap I can't turn left here
Kai: mom, you gotta get a whistle
Me: why?
Kai: so you can stop these cars

A Fun Family Trip

We decided to take the kids to an Aquarium in Boise today. They  were so excited, and as far as I could tell they had a ball. At the Aquarium they were allowed to touch the fish, but not one of them would do it. Kael came close, but was  having more fun splashing the water than anything. Havyn would stick her hand in the water and quickly pull it out and laugh in excitement.  Kai was "scared" as always. I think he tells us he is scared as an excuse anymore. He is scared when he wants to rock-a-bye, he is scared if he is tired, he is scared if he has done something wrong, and the list goes on. He is  a silly boy! Koen just didn't have any desire to touch them, and I totally understand, I didn't either. Tyrell on the other hand was all for touching them. He said the sting ray felt cool, but I still really didn't have a desire to touch it. After seeing the fish the kids were able to get balloon fish that people were making for tips in the aquarium. Koen picked an Octopus, so naturally Kai wanted the same thing, but he wanted his to be orange not blue. Havyn just got a butterfly, and Kael got a little turtle. I bet you are all wondering how long these balloons lasted, and I can say Kai's was the first to go, about 5 min. after he got it. Koen's lasted the longest because he was really careful with it, and wouldn't let the little kids touch it. His made it until bedtime tonight, and then he popped it for fun.

Havyn and Kael (The Goofs)

Kael has recently decided he is 2 or something. He throws temper tantrums like a 2 year old, he won't eat without a spoon, he runs away when you attempt to change his diaper, and he thinks he can do "big" kid things. One of those things is sit in chairs. He tips over quite often. Good thing his favorite chair is a little blue plastic one. On this particular morning he and Havyn were having a ball laughing at each other sitting in the chairs, and then all of a sudden Havyn touched his chair, and she got the dirty look, and melt down you see beginning in the second picture.

Our weekend

We went to the park with my mom and the kids acted like it was the best thing ever! Kael threw rocks and loved the slides while Havyn took a while to decide the slide wasn't so bad. The older two of course weren't scared for a minute.

Happy Birthday Kael

We celebrated Karl's 1st birthday this weekend while we were visiting my family. He didn't have a clue what was going on and could care less about the cake. He threw his on the floor. Everyone else enjoyed and I am still shocked he has been around a year!
